Duplicate Elimination reduces wasteful and counter productive direct marketing efforts from unwanted, repeat communications to the same household or individual. The Duplicate Elimination service uses advanced name and address matching algorithms to identify duplicates of the same individual, or different individuals at the same household. In this way, mailers can avoid aggravating customers with unwanted, repeat mailings and ensure that intended recipients are not overlooked.
After running this service, you will receive a result file with the duplicate records identified with a set ID. All records in the duplicate set, except the survivor record, are marked with a duplicate flag.
A summary report provides you with statistical data describing your results and a record layout defines field positioning and content.
