Canadian National Change of Address (NCOA)

How often are promotional mailings returned with a wrong address stamp?  Now you can keep up with the 20% of Canadians that move each year!  Be sure your communications are going to the right address. NCOA is a simple and low cost way to keep your file up-to-date through a direct link to Canada Post's change of address records.

Process:

Your file is compared to Canada Post's master file of individuals, families and businesses that have moved during the past 36 months. The Canada Post file is updated monthly from customer reported Change of Address forms. Approximately 80% of Canadian movers report their new address to Canada Post. When a match occurs, the new address information is placed in new address fields that we add to your record. Your original address data is not changed.

Deliverable:

When a mover is found in your file, new address information is provided in the address fields we add to your record. We'll add fields to your record to indicate the move type (individual, family, business, or deceased/estate) and the move date (year, month, day). These fields are left blank if the record doesn't match to the NCOA database. A summary report provides you with various statistical data describing your results. A record layout defines field positioning and content.
